Theater (and performing arts as a whole) has probably been my largest commitment at school throughout these past four years. With six productions (four musicals and two plays) and countless music concerts each year, I have dedicated much of my passion and time to on-and off-stage without even noticing.

As the starring role in my Freshman year musical, it was a humbling experience transitioning to a small ensemble member at a new school, but I never lost faith or any love for theater: I continued do my best, being cast as a demanding role in the 15-member cast of my junior year musical Hadestown and earning the Ensemble Award (awarded to the most dedicated and consistent non-main character role in the show), and finally becoming the starring role Bobby Strong in my senior year musical Urinetown. My high school theater journey is one I will never forget nor regret.

My love for theater extends beyond simply being under the spotlight, however —sophomore year, I spent my time as an ensemble member in our school's Les Misérables production to create a 10-min behind-the-scenes documentary, showcasing the creation of one of our largest productions yet and honoring the backstage crew - those whose work often go unseen. The video remains as the largest outreach piece for NMH theater on the official website, and continues to contribute to the growth of the theater community at NMH.
